2020 not only brought the devastation of COVID-19, but also widened gaps for marginalized groups in the United States during a time when it was perhaps more critical than ever to band together with compassion.
Now more than ever, millions of individuals continue to face obstacles that many of us cannot even begin to grasp. These are people who struggle because they have “otherness;” perhaps they are people of color or members of the LGTBQ community. Or both. Maybe they have physical, mental, or emotional disabilities. Perhaps they practice a religion other than Christianity.
