Mindy has over twenty seven years of marketing, design, and branding experience. She holds Photojournalism and Journalism Graphics degrees from Ball State University and a Leadership in Publishing Certificate from the Yale Publishing Course; Yale School of Management and has worked in many aspects of advertising, marketing, and branding for companies ranging in size from Fortune 500 to small boutiques.
Mindy has extensive experience in the print platform and excels at developing an author’s vision into a polished, finished product. Publication design is one of her specialties and she has earned many design and publication awards for her work.

Amy Trainor Ashby
Vice President and Editor-in-Chief
Amy began her publishing career as Warren’s marketing assistant in 2007 and has worn many hats throughout the years. She holds a BA in English from Davidson College, a Certificate in Publishing from Columbia University, and an MFA in Creative Writing from Queens University of Charlotte. Over the years she has edited books ranging in genre from children’s books, to poetry, novels, business books, nonfiction, and beyond. Amy also has an extensive background as a marketing copywriter for advertisements, digital content, and more. An avid creative nonfiction writer, Amy has been published in various local and national publications and is currently working on her first memoir.

Melissa Long
Managing Editor A life-long bookworm, Melissa originally came to Warren Publishing as an intern and was pleased to join the team as an editor in December 2019. She later became the managing editor in January 2021. She holds a BA in English, with a concentration in creative writing, as well as a minor in digital media from Pittsburg State University. She was the fiction editor for Cow Creek Review for two years and editor-in-chief for one year. During that time, she published one of her short stories, Mute as a Fish. She was also published in the 2012–2015 editions of the American Library of Poetry collections. During her time at Warren, Melissa has had the opportunity to edit and proofread many wonderful manuscripts and genres, including fiction, non-fiction, YA, middle-grade, children's, poetry, etc. She knows nothing feels better for an author than seeing the world they created on someone's bookshelf, and she loves helping them accomplish that goal. She is also a member of ACES The Society for Editing. |

Lacey Cope
Marketing Director
A lifelong bibliophile and marketing maven, Lacey was called back to her publishing roots after a chance encounter with Mindy at the neighborhood pool. With four boys all in school, Lacey was lured back to publishing with an offered position as Mindy’s assistant. After two months it became clear that she would be better suited for the role of Marketing Director. With a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from University of South Carolina Aiken, her experience in television writing, work study position at USC Aiken’s library, along with her early professional career spent as a Publishing Consultant with a self publishing giant gives her a remarkable insight into the inner workings of all avenues in the literary world. She lives, breathes, and loves the authors she serves and is passionate about cultivating and spreading the word about their book babies.
